Sustainable Development Management postgraduate course in Ljubljana

 
The Sustainable Development Management module, which has been developed in 1999 in co-operation between the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) and the International Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD), is starting for the 7th time on April 11, 2005.



The course has been designed as part of the International MBA Programme at ICPE which has been so far attended by 420 executives and policy makers from 38 countries, including: Albania, Algeria, Kenya, Lesotho, Bangladesh, Macedonia, Malawi Bosnia & Herzegovina Mali, Nepal Botswana, Bulgaria, Nigeria, Poland, Pakistan Congo, Croatia, Romania, Russia Estonia, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Germany, Ghana, Slovenia, Sri Lanka Guine Bissau, Sudan, Swaziland Guyana, India, Tanzania, Uganda, Indonesia, Jordan, USA, Former-Yugoslavia, Zambia.



The primary goal of the Sustainable Development Management module is to draw attention to issues of sustainable development in the context of economic growth. In the light of past and present experience, looking to future opportunities, the training programme examines what further strategies might be appropriate for sustainable development. The specialisation is meant for managers to be trained for 21st century challenges, an comprises courses in Global and Local Aspects of Sustainable Development, Integrated Coastal Area Management, Biodiversity and Environmental Health, and New Materials and Clean Technologies Management. Both MBA students in duration of one year and specialisation students who select to take part only at the Sustainable Development Management module either in the full duration of 8 weeks or in selected courses, are welcome.
